Experiences

History

I've been creating wines for over a decade, and have been fortunate enough to work with passionate people and exceptional fruit. Working at boutique wineries has provided me with an experience to experiment and blend wines that don't necessarily follow a recipe compared to those on a larger scale. Conversely, working in larger wineries I was able to experience crafting more recipe based products, more so blending wines that meet a niche market.

Requiem Wine Co. was hatched while attending school at Sonoma State, School of Business and Economics. Needing to complete a capstone project in the Wine Business MBA program, I wrote a business plan for a custom crush facility. Having worked in or around custom crush facilities for many years I felt there was a need in the industry for a facility that ran without the common glitches. This sentiment was echoed by many winemakers in the industry. After a year of working with other designers, architects, and other wine consulting leaders, finding the right site for the custom crush project become a bit challenging, The project was ultimately put on hold, with more efforts put into winery consulting, primary process improvement and general management, quality and continuous improvement.

Requiem Wine Co. Consulting is currently operating in the San Francisco Bay area, however the company can work remotely, as well as on-site visits to build scope and understand needs of potential clients.

MY PROMISE

“I work with reputable wineries and custom crush facilities where sanitation and timely communication are top priorities. I work with individuals and teams that are passionate about their craft, and that passion always come through in the finished wine. My palate is one of my greatest assets”.

About Me

winemaker, PROCESS Engineer, GENERAL MANAgement

Yes, another one of those love stories. Years ago I made a right instead of a left, and there I was, in the depths of a wine cellar wondering how I’d made it there, however, I knew I was in the right place. I returned to school to earn a BS in Enology from California State University at Fresno. I worked a few harvests, Napa, Sonoma, South Africa, and ultimately back to school to learn more about the business side of wine. I earned an MBA in Wine Business from Sonoma State, and my interests began to shift from production winemaking to business strategy and operational improvements. When I’m not attempting to fix challenges at wineries, you can find me in Tahoe or a good Bay Area pub learning about life from new found friends.
